Chennai Auditions Day 3
Chennai auditions initial level is over yesterday and from today we will have the next and final level of Airtel Super singer junior 3. There are 235 kids chosen for this round of the competition and from this group of contestants only 40 will be selelcted as Chennai list of contestants. Sowmya, Shailaja and Manicka Vinayagam are the judges and contestants have to convince them to get selected for the next round. There are many contestants being put in waitlist since the judges are restricted to pick 40 kids for the next round and they will have to make sure that they choose the best 40. But, I think the number would vary and they will bring the overall count to 100. We also have Nithyashree, Mahathi and Pushpavanam Kuppuswamy to judge a part of the contestants separately so that they can complete the auditions on the same day. I think this is the first time they have got 2 panel of judges who can select contestants for the next rounds. Anand and Ramya continued to host the show and they are appearing in the show for more time than the hosts came in other locations.
Tejas, a contestant who came in for the auditions impressed the judges with his allround performance and he was acting along with singing. They ended up wait listing him but they also said they cant reject him. As last seasons, we had some contestants coming from other countries and giving their best. Ofcourse, the judges were not really very strict with them to get into the next competitive round. With more and more contestants kept in waiting list, there was lot of tension amidst everyone waiting for the results. But, they made it a point to announce some of the waitlist results frequently so that the kids and parents are not made to wait for long time. As always, there were several Chennai kids who made some entertaining performances and also impressed the judges very much. We will see all of these kids for quite sometime in the show.
