Coimbatore Auditions Day 2
With Coimbatore auditions just getting started in the channel, we started having junior super singer Srikanth to perform for the audience. Kalyani and Anandakannan were with Srikanth to sing him on stage and we had him singing "aasai nooru vagai". After the performance there were lot of kids around Srikanth and I didnt expect the kids would also be his fans. After this perofrmance, the auditions were continued and today we started having the auditions with judges separately. First was Nithyashree Mahadevan's audition list being telecasted with few kids and then followed with Manicka Vinayagam's list of contestants. I dont know why the hosts in the super singer cant speak good Tamil :( atleast this time they should have a host who can speak clear Tamizh. First level of auditions were aired most of the time today.
Out of initial 100 contestants in the auditions 45 were selected in the first level of auditions. Similar to Trichy, there were some games for the kids to pass the time entertained. There were even magicians doing some magic tricks to keep them entertained. Some of the waitlisted contestants were chosen so that ohters need not wait for long time in the place. They also informed the rejected contestants can come to Chennai to retry for the auditions. I remember some of them last year came to all 3 auditions and I wish all those try their luck to get a chance in Chennai if they miss in Trichy and Coimbatore. We will continue to have Coimbatore auditions whole of this week and dont miss the entertainments in here..
