Coimbatore Auditions Day 4
Anandakannan and Kalynai started hosting the show with similar talks as on any day... But I dont know what they make few dance steps before starting to speak.. I am not sure how many people like it.. Do you guys like it ? within a minute, we started having the auditions in front of all the judges. With the 4 judges Manicka Vinayagam, Nithyashree Mahadevan, Mahathi and Pushpavanam Kuppuswamy were really strict with the contestants and whenever the kids miss any sruti they pointed that out immediately and most of them got rejected. The show featured Neela, a contestant who came for the auditions and she had some tests after singing to see if she has the capability... she has been waitlisted but was told in the next rounds they expect more from her. Geethika, another contestant also featured in the show and about her singing abilities. Judges pointed out quite a few mistakes in her singing and was not selected for further rounds in the competition.
Many of the coimbatore kids had very good voice but quite a bit of them had trouble in their singing capability. There were even quite a few kids of 6 years age and trying hard to get themselves into next competitive rounds. Judges were pretty open with most of the contestants and said what is the problem & what will be the result. Sricharan, another contestant who impressed Mahathi earlier and was not able to impress all four judges together. There was also some kids came from Chennai and one girl said the reason being to avoid crowd in Chennai and give the auditions in Coimbatore. Hmmm... but she was not able to clear the judges and I guess she cannot avoid the crowd now. some kids who gave their best but that was not sufficient to get into next rounds, judges felt bad to tell "sorry" and "better luck next time".
